Hershey: the acquisition of ONE Brands is now complete
(CercleFinance.com) - Chocolate maker Hershey said that it has completed the acquisition of ONE Brands, a maker of low-sugar, high-protein nutrition bars for a purchase price of 397 million dollars.
The snacking brand will round out Hershey's existing Oatmega business, which was acquired as part of the 2018 acquisition of Amplify Snack Brands, as well as its recent investment in Fulfil, a European maker of vitamin-fortified, high-protein bars.
The acquisition is expected to to have a slightly accretive effect on earnings in the first full year post closing, Hershey said.
Hershey plans to expand the ONE Brands business by leveraging its expertise in sales, distribution, and digital commerce, it said.
