Hasbro: completes acquisition of 'Peppa Pig' owner
(CercleFinance.com) - Hasbro said on Monday it completed the purchase of Britain's Entertainment One, expanding its portfolio with preschool brands, while adding TV and film know-how.
In a statement, the US toymaker cited "highly complementary" businesses with "substantial" synergies and a "great cultural fit".
The deal in particular will enable it to strengthen its catalog by adding the "Peppa Pig" franchise.
The all-cash transaction is valued at approximately 2.9 billion pounds (approximately 3.8 billion dollars).
