HP Inc: Xerox launches tender offer on shares
(CercleFinance.com) - Late on Monday Xerox announced the launch of its tender offer on all outstanding HP Inc shares, at a price of 24 dollars, including 18.
40 dollars in cash and 0.149 Xerox share for each HP share tendered, an offer that is set to expire on 21 April.
"HP shareholders will receive $27 billion in immediate, upfront cash while retaining significant, long-term upside through equity ownership in a combined company," Xerox said.
Meanwhile, HP said that its board of directors will carefully assess the offer to determine what will be in the best interests of the group and the shareholders. Pending its results, it recommends shareholders not to act.
