General Electric: equips power plant in Taiwan
(CercleFinance.com) - General Electric (GE) today announced that Taiwan Power Company's Tung Hsiao power plant in Taiwan has safely and successfully begun grid connection testing in January 2023 using six GE aeroderivative gas turbines.
The newly installed highly modular units can provide up to 180 megawatts (MW) of electricity.
The installed GE aeroderivative gas turbines can operate on high blends of hydrogen, with a future trajectory towards 100% hydrogen combustion to further support Taiwan Power Company's decarbonisation initiatives.
