GE: develops wind farm in Japan
(CercleFinance.com) - GE Renewable Energy has announced that it has been selected by Green Power Investment (GPI) as the supplier for the Fukaura wind farm in the Nishi Tsugaru district of Japan.
The project, which will include 19 units of GE's 4.2-117 onshore wind turbine, is GE's third project with GPI in Japan.
The agreement also includes a ten-year full service contract with an optional extension. Tohoku Electric Power Co, Inc. is supporting the project as a strategic partner for GPI's projects in the Tohoku region.
Installation of the wind turbines at the project site will begin in Q2 2023 and they are expected to be fully commissioned and operational in 2024.
