Gap: names former Billabong chief as new brand CEO
(CercleFinance.com) - Three months after the unexpected exit of Jeff Kirwan, Gap Inc.
has appointed Billabong's chief Neil Fiske as president and chief executive officer of its flagship Gap brand.
The US clothing retailer said Fiske has 20 years of brand building and turnaround experience in specialty retailing.
Before serving as chief executive officer at surf apparel maker Billabong, where he nursed the brand back to health, Fiske spent five years as president and chief executive officer at outdoor clothing retailer Eddie Bauer, where he also repositioned the business.
Fiske began his career at Boston Consulting Group.
