Ford: new Mustang seduces Wall Street
(CercleFinance.com) - Nearly 60 years after the launch of its first Mustang, Ford has presented the seventh generation of its famous car at the opening of the Detroit Auto Show last night.
This year, the car has been given an "immersive" digital interior inspired by the cockpits of fighter jets, with two large screens that can be customized.
While the US carmaker plans to invest some 50 billion dollars in its electric vehicles between now and 2026, its new Mustang will be powered entirely by petrol.
Set for release, it is to be assembled at the Flat Rock (Michiagn) site.
After several difficult months, this announcement allowed Ford's share price to regain some colour on Wall Street yesterday (+1.6%): the stock is down 27% YTD.
