Ford: US vehicle sales dropped 20.9% in November

(CercleFinance.com) - Ford's US sales fell by 20.
9% in November, reflecting one less weekend this year than last year and renewed stay-at-home measures due to rising coronavirus cases.

The number 2 US carmaker by sales said it sold 149,931 vehicles last month, down from 189,562 in 2019, as falling sport-utility vehicle and truck sales added to a drop in passenger car sales.

Ford's car unit saw its sales drop 39% in November, while SUV sales also fell, 16.4%. Truck sales, usually Ford's bright spot, slipped 20.9%, as the sales of the F-Series, America's best-selling pickup, fell by over 27%.

The company said its dealers are now looking forward to the new F-150, which will be launched next year, as well as the new Bronco and the all-electric Mustang Mach-E, to boost their sales.
