Ford: signs memorandum in China on electric vehicles.
(CercleFinance.com) - Ford Motor Company has signed a memorandum of understanding in China to explore the establishment of a joint venture for a new line of all-electric passenger cars.
The agreement, signed with Anhui Zotye, a manufacturer of zero-emission all-electric vehicles, aims to provide customers with "affordable and capable electric vehicles."
Ford expects the market for all-electric vehicles in China to grow to approximately 4 million units per year by 2025.
