Ford: China auto sales down 3% in May.
(CercleFinance.com) - Ford Motor Company said on Wednesday that it sold almost 88,000 vehicles in May in China, down 3% y-oy.
The Detroit car maker said its luxury unit Lincoln had its best-ever May sales last month, with 4,112 vehicles sold, up 73% compared to May 2016.
Ford said it continues to strengthen its marketing plan in China for the second quarter, including a realigned Kuga customer offer, and still expects to deliver sales growth over the April-June period.
The company operates several car ventures in China, including Changan Ford Automobile (CAF) and Jiangling Motor Corporation (JMC).
