Facebook: appoints Dropbox CEO to board
(CercleFinance.com) - Facebook has named Drew Houston, co-founder and CEO of cloud storage provider Dropbox, to its board of directors, the California-based social network company said late on Monday.
Houston founded Dropbox in 2007, with it now being one of the world's largest business collaboration platforms, with 14 million paying subscribers and 2,300 employees across 12 offices worldwide.
He will join a board that includes several other high-profile executives, such as Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg and early venture capitalist Peter Thiel.
Other Facebook directors include Mark Zuckerberg and PayPal's Peggy Alford.
