Disney: 'The Rise of Skywalker' tops US box office
(CercleFinance.com) - Disney-Lucasfilm's "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker" topped the domestic box office for its opening weekend, according to numbers provided by BoxOfficeMojo.

The movie earned 175.5 million dollars in the US between last Friday and Sunday, the website said.
While the new film marks the conclusion of the Star Wars saga which was kicked off in 1977, other feature films and series derived from this very profitable universe are already planned by Disney, which now holds the rights to the franchise.
On Disney+, "The Mandalorian" show is currently available and Ewan McGregor is set to reprise the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi in an upcoming series planned for the streaming service.
