Deere: raises 2020-21 target earnings range
(CercleFinance.com) - On announcing its quarterly results, agricultural machinery manufacturer John Deere has said that it is raising its target earnings for fiscal year 2020-21 to 4.
6 to 5 billion dollars, up from a previous target range of 3.6 to 4 billion dollars, provided three months ago.
"Improved conditions in agricultural and construction sectors setting stage for year of strong performance," the group says, which also points to "our smart industrial operating strategy".
The group has reported earnings that more than doubled (+137%) to 1.22 billion dollars for its first accounting quarter, representing 3.87 dollars per share, which is EPS that is well above the consensus, on sales that have increased by 19% to 9.11 billion dollars.
