Coca Cola: ready-to-drink cocktail with Pernod Ricard
(CercleFinance.com) - Pernod Ricard and Coca-Cola announced on Tuesday that they are joining forces to launch a ready-to-drink, pre-mixed cocktail combining Absolut vodka and Sprite soda.
It is due to be launched early next year in selected European countries, including the UK, the Netherlands, Spain and Germany.
Both companies say that these ready-to-drink products called "Absolut & Sprite" will respect "responsible" marketing practices, bearing in mind that the "premixes" are primarily aimed at younger consumers.
Clear responsibility symbols will appear on the cans of the new cocktail, indicating that the drink is intended only for consumers of legal drinking age.
This partnership comes at a time when Coca-Cola is looking to expand into the ready-to-drink alcoholic beverage sector with its rich portfolio of brands.
