Cisco: set to acquire Luxtera
(CercleFinance.com) - The network technology giant Cisco today announces its intention to acquire Luxtera, an unlisted semi-conductor company based in Carlsbad, California, for 660 million dollars.
The group says that this company uses silicon photonics to build integrated optical capacity for data center and service provider market segments, as well as other clients.
This acquisition, subject to customary conditions and regulatory approvals, is set to be finalised in Cisco's third fiscal quarter from February to April 2019.
