Boeing: United Airlines to expand 787 fleet
(CercleFinance.com) - Boeing and United Airlines announce that the airline will expand its fleet of 787 Dreamliner aircraft, exercising options to order fifty 787-9 aircraft and securing another 50 options.
Boeing said that the new Dreamliner order offers United Airlines additional flexibility as the airline modernizes its global fleet over the next decade.
With 150 firm orders, United has the largest Dreamliner order book ever, and is well placed to become the world's largest 787 operator. For information, it placed a record purchase of 100 787 aircraft last year.
