Boeing: happy landings for Starliner
(CercleFinance.com) - Boeing has announced that its CST-100 Starliner spacecraft has landed at the US Army's White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico, completing the flight that began on 19 May with its launch from Cape Canaveral on an Atlas V rocket.
The safe return to Earth successfully concludes the end-to-end unmanned orbital flight test, which was conducted to demonstrate the quality and performance of the transportation system prior to manned flights.
When the Starliner completes its next flight, Boeing will have achieved NASA's goal of having two commercial vehicles to transport astronauts safely, reliably and sustainably to the station from US soil.
