AutoZone: Q2 EPS up 20%

6% at 345.9 million dollars for Q2 2020-21, or 14.93 dollars per share (+20.5%), as well as operating profit that is up 18.1% at 481.8 million dollars.
The automotive equipment distributor's revenues increased by 15.8% to 2.9 billion dollars (+15.2% like-for-like in the US alone), although its gross margin fell by 77 points base to 53.6%.
The company said that strong sales to consumers (DIY) have been helped by government support measures and changes in consumer behaviour reulting from the pandemic.
