Apple: more AirPods Pro to meet demand?
(CercleFinance.com) - According to information obtained by the Japanese daily Nikkei, US tech giant Apple appears to have asked Chinese suppliers to double the production of AirPods Pro, to meet a stronger-than-expected demand in the run-up to the festive season.
Nikkei says that the Apple brand wants to produce two million AirPods Pro per month. For the moment, consumers who want to order Apple's new wireless headphones will, according to its website, not be delivered before the start of 2020. Meanwhile, usual AirPods can still be delivered in time for Christmas.
As an upgraded version of the AirPods, the "Pro" range of Apple's wireless headphones was released in late October.
