Amazon: AWS launches sovereign cloud offering

com, announced on Wednesday that it intends to launch a sovereign offering based on a platform that complies with European policy.
The solution, called "AWS European Sovereign Cloud", is designed to meet the needs of public administrations and businesses with critical infrastructures that are subject to specific requirements in terms of data confidentiality and security.
Located and operated from Europe, the platform will evolve independently of other AWS regional servers, while offering the same level of performance, the US Internet giant said
Initially launched from Germany, it will be available to all the group's European customers.
