Amazon: tops list of most influential brands
(CercleFinance.com) - Amazon, Google and Apple are the top three most influential brands in the world, according to an annual list that highlights the continuing dominance of US tech companies despite their recent glitch on the US stockmarket.
According to World Brand Lab's "500 Most Influential Brands" list, Amazon - which ranked third last year - beat Google and Apple to the top spot.
"Amazon's significant progress in artificial intelligence and big-data technology helped its third-quarter operating profit hit a 10-year high," according to the research firm.
Google won the second place, while Apple fell to third place. They are followed by Microsoft and AT&T.
Mercedes-Benz, the top European brand, comes in sixth.
World Brand Lab's list considers three key indicators: market share, brand loyalty and global leadership.
