Amazon: 'best-ever' holiday weekend for devices.
(CercleFinance.com) - Amazon said it had its best-ever holiday shopping weekend for devices, with millions of Amazon devices sold between Thanksgiving and Cyber Monday.
The e-commerce giant - which did not provide any figures - said that the small home assistant Echo Dot has been the best-selling device at its Whole Foods retail chain over the weekend.
Separately, Amazon also said that its cloud unit Amazon Web Services (AWS) has been named by Turner, a Time Warner division, as its preferred cloud provider.
As part of the project, Turner will move decades of content to the cloud-- including archived CNN videos - and will use AWS for storage, databases, analytics, and machine learning.
