Amazon: launches biggest wind farm yet.
(CercleFinance.com) - Amazon has announced that its largest wind farm in Texas, is now operational, contributing over 1,000,000 MWh of clean energy to the grid annually.
Amazon has now launched 18 wind and solar projects nationwide, with another 35 yet to come.
Together, they will generate clean energy powering over 330,000 homes annually, creating hundreds of jobs, coupled with tens of millions of dollars of investment, benefiting local communities nationwide.
The Texas project has over 100 turbines - each over 300 feet tall with a rotor diameter of more than double the wingspan of a Boeing 787.
