(CercleFinance.com) - Finally, Abercrombie & Fitch will not be taken over.
Plagued by financial difficulties for many months now, the fallen star in ready-to-wear clothing will not be taken over.
"After a comprehensive review of all relevant factors... the A&F Board of Directors determined that the best path to enhance value for stockholders is the rigorous execution of our (current) business plan," Arthur Martinez, executive chairman of the board said.
This decision brings an end to discussions that began in early May and which are expected to lead to a sharp fall in the stock on Wall Street this Monday.
