Abbott: raises 2021 target EPS range
(CercleFinance.com) - Abbott Labs announced that it has raised its target range for adjusted EPS for the current year to between five and 5.
10 dollars, compared with a previous target range of 4.30 to 4.50 dollars.
For Q3 2021, the healthcare group's adjusted EPS rose 42.9% to 1.40 dollar, on sales that are up 23.4% at 10.9 billion dollars (+22.4% on an organic basis).
Abbott says that, excluding Covid-19 test sales, its quarterly sales increased by 11.7% (both as reported and in organic terms) relative to pre-pandemic 2019 levels.
Looks good - the share is currently up about 3.5% in pre-market trading.
