AT&T: go ahead to Time Warner takeover in Mexico.
(CercleFinance.com) - AT&T has announced that the Instituto Federal de Telecomunicaciones (IFT) and the Comisión Federal de Competencia Económica (COFECE), the Mexican regulatory authorities have approved its acquisition of Time Warner.
David McAtee, senior executive vice president and general counsel at AT&T said that the two companies' merger will bring together the world's best premium content and networks to deliver content on every screen in the way that customers want.
AT&T and Time Warner still plan to complete the transaction by the end of 2017. Announced last October, it was valued at 108.7 billion dollars (including Time Warner's net debt).
