Assa Abloy: buys UK biometric access control specialist
(CercleFinance.com) - Assa Abloy, the world's biggest lock maker, said on Monday that it has bought Britain's Biosite, a supplier of biometric access control for the construction industry.
The Swedish company did not disclose the purchase price, but said in a statement that the acquired firm, which is based in the Midlands, reported sales of about 14 million pounds (approximately 16.5 million euros) in 2019.
The acquisition will be dilutive to Assa Abloy's earnings per share to begin with, the firm said.
