Assa Abloy: buys US access control firm

(CercleFinance.com) - Assa Abloy, the world's biggest lock maker, said on Wednesday that it has bought US-based LifeSafety Power, a maker of smart integrated access control power solutions.

The Swedish company said that LifeSafety Power will complement its access control portfolio thanks to its OEMs, integrators and end-users clients.

LifeSafety Power was launched in 2009 and currently has about 65 employees. Its main office is located in Libertyville, Illinois.

In 2019 sales are expected to reach about 30 million dollars, with a "good" level of EBIT margin, meaning that the acquisition will have an accretive effect from the start, Assa Abloy said.
