Alfa Laval: withdraws its 2019 dividend proposal
(CercleFinance.com) - Alfa Laval is withdrawing its proposal to pay a dividend of 5.
5 Swedish kronor per share for 2019 to preserve cash, the Swedish engineering group said on Friday.
The maker of heat recovery and water treatment systems is currently implementing a cost reduction program aiming at cutting costs by about 1 billion Swedish kronor (around 90 million euros) on a 12-month basis.
The program is well on track and the first financial effects are expected in April, the group said.
In Sweden, Alfa Laval plans to reduce the working time of approximately 900 white-collar staff by 40%, as from 1 May.
