Equinor: increases stake in Scatec
(CercleFinance.com) - Equinor announces that it has acquired 5,000,000 shares in Scatec ASA (Scatec) from Scatec Innovation AS, i.
e. 3.1% of its shares and votes, for a total purchase price of 305 million NOK (about 27 million euros).
The shares were bought at 61 NOK each, vs. a closing price of 64.18 NOK on 15 March 2023.
Following the transaction, Equinor holds a total of 25,776,200 shares in Scatec, bringing its total shareholding to 16.2% of its shares and votes.
The group said that this acquisition matches its disciplined approach to growth in renewable energy.
