Equinor: more injuries but fewer serious incidents

(CercleFinance.com) - Equinor announces that the average frequency of serious incidents over twelve months is 0.
4 per million hours worked at the end of September, which is the lowest score recorded in the last ten years (0.5 last year and 0.6 two years ago).

However, the number of personal injuries rose slightly to 2.5 per million hours worked, compared with 2.3 a year earlier.

Eleven oil and gas leaks were recorded in the last 12 months, a stable level compared to the previous year. None of the leaks reached the most serious level of severity, says Equinor.

The company says that it still needs to improve its work methods to reverse the trend. Therefore, it is systematically working on finding recurring root causes and cooperating with its suppliers to create a common safety culture.
