Stellantis: Tavares to strengthen presence in India
(CercleFinance.com) - Carlos Tavares, Stellantis' CEO, said on Wednesday that the automotive group intends to develop and strengthen its presence in India.
During talks with the media in Chennai, in the south of the country, he explained that he wanted to make this market, which is considered "strategic", a central pillar of the group's international ambitions.
For the record, the group has three production plants in the country, a complex dedicated to new technologies in Hyderabad, a software centre in Bangalore and two R&D sites in Chennai and Pune.
Stellantis points out that it has invested over one billion euros in its Indian operations since 2015.
