Technip Energies: signs two contracts in Portugal
(CercleFinance.com) - Technip Energies announces the signing of an engineering, procurement services and construction management contract (EPsCm) by Galp for a biofuels unit and a green hydrogen unit for its Sines refinery in Portugal.
Both projects are part of Galp's program to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions of the refinery and its products.
The Advanced Biofuels Unit will have a capacity of 270 ktpa and will produce renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) from biological feedstock and waste residues. This unit will enable Galp to avoid 800 ktpa of greenhouse gas emissions.
The Green Hydrogen Unit, which includes a 100 MW electrolysis plant, will produce up to 15 ktpa of renewable hydrogen.
Both units represent an estimated gross investment of E650m.
