Ahold Delhaize: new bottling plant and CEO mandate renewed
(CercleFinance.com) - Delhaize has inaugurated its new wine bottling plant in Brussels.
At 9,500m2, it is the largest in the Benelux, representing an investment of 30 million euros.
Delhaize has invested in sustainable systems such as water and heating for cleaning and maintaining the temperature in the building. The wine will be stored underground, with an almost constant temperature in winter and summer with no need for cooling or heating.
Ahold Delhaize has also announced that it intends to renew the mandate of its CEO (since 2018), Frans Mulle, after previously being a supervisory board member and CEO of Delhaize.
His reappointment remains subject to approval by the shareholders, who will meet in a general meeting on 12 April 2023.
