Euronext: launches new MIB ESG index
(CercleFinance.com) - Euronext announces the launch of its new MIB ESG Index, the first Italian index designed to identify large listed companies that demonstrate best practice in environmental, social and governance (ESG) matters.
The pan-European exchange group has partnered with V.E, a subsidiary of Moody's ESG Solutions, to form this second Euronext domestic large cap ESG index, following the CAC40 ESG, which was launched in March 2021.
The methodology of the index reflects a ranking of the top 40 Italian listed companies on the basis of ESG criteria. Its composition will be revised quarterly to include companies whose ESG performance has sufficiently changed - either for better or worse.
