Euronext: raises bid for Oslo Børs VPS
(CercleFinance.com) - Euronext has announced a revision of the terms of its takeover bid for the operator of the Norwegian stock exchange, Oslo Børs VPS, as launched on 14 January, increasing the offer price from 145 Norwegian kronor to 158 Norwegian kronor.
The pan-European group adds that each shareholder tendering its shares to the offer will also receive an interest payment on this revised price, corresponding to 6% per annum. In addition, the acceptance period, which was due to expire tonight, has been extended another month, until 11 March.
For the record, Oslo Børs' board of directors previously recommended to its shareholders to tender their shares to a counter-bid by the Nasdaq, at price of 152 kronor per share.
