Airbus: two contracts for French MRTTS
(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus Defence and Space announces that it has signed two contracts worth a total of E1.
2bn for capacity enhancement and in-service support for the French Air Force's A330 MRTT (Multi Role Tanker Transport).
The first contract ("Standard 2") provides for the extension of French MRTT capabilities, focusing on connectivity and self-protection capabilities. In particular, the aircraft will be equipped with the MELISSA satellite station.
The second contract covers in-service support for the A330-MRTT Phénix fleet for ten years, plus two optional years, at the Istres air base.
