Airbus: United Airlines orders 60 A321neo aircraft
(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus today announces that it has received an order from United Airlines for 60 additional A321neo aircraft, supporting its "United Next" initiative to integrate new aircraft into its fleet, and standardise and enhance its global network.
The US airline previously ordered 50 A321XLR and 70 A321neo aircraft. With this new order, its direct purchase commitment to the European aircraft manufacturer now covers 180 A321s.
The aircraft's environmental performance will support United Airlines in its goal of reducing its CO2 emissions, and its Airspace cabin will notably include the latest lighting technologies to reduce jet lag.
