Airbus: precautions taken against coronavirus in China
(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus announces that it is closely monitoring the developments in the Coronavirus outbreak by following the World Health Organization's advice to travellers.
"The Company is regularly updating staff on the situation and on necessary precautions to take," the group said.
Airbus China is observing the requirements of the Chinese government for staff to work from home with their IT equipment so that employees from all locations, including Tianjin, do not have to go to work, as much as possible.
Regarding the impact on business, China domestic and worldwide travel restrictions are posing some logistical challenges.
"The Tianjin Final Assembly Line facility is currently closed. Airbus is constantly evaluating the situation and monitoring any potential knock on effects to production and deliveries and will try to mitigate via alternative plans where necessary," it added.
