Airbus: Greenland orders two helicopters
(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus announces that it has received a firm order from Air Greenland for two H225 helicopters to support this carrier's efforts to win its country's search and rescue contract.
Two aircraft will be refitted and delivered in the coming months to replace the aging S-61 helicopter that is currently in service. Airbus will also provide maintenance, support and pilot and crew training services.
"The deployment of the H225 will help ensure the safety of global maritime traffic transiting the Greenland-Iceland gap to and from the Arctic region," said Olivier Michalon, Head of Europe Region at Airbus Helicopters.
