Airbus: Delta Air Lines orders 15 Airbus A220
(CercleFinance.com) - Delta Air Lines has ordered an additional 15 A220 planes, bringing the number of aircraft commissioned by the world's second largest airline to 90.
The additional orders cover the airline's first A220-300 models, with it also converting several previous A220-100 orders into the larger A220-300, hence bringing the total number of A220-300 ordered to 50.
“These additional A220 aircraft will continue to strategically enable Delta to refresh our fleet, drive further advances in the customer experience and serve as an excellent investment for our customers, employees and shareowners for Delta into the next decade,” said Gil West, Delta's Chief Operating Officer.
