Airbus: A350 XWB ULR rolls out of paintshop

(CercleFinance.com) - The first Ultra Long Range Airbus A350 XWB to be delivered to Singapore Airlines has rolled out of the paintshop.

The plane will undergo further tests before being delivered to the airline in the next few months.

Singapore Airlines has ordered seven A350-900 Ultra Long Range aircraft, all of which are in the process of being assembled. The first aircraft has successfully completed its flight test program.

The airline will operate the plane non-stop between Singapore and the United States. This includes flights between Singapore and New York, which will be the longest commercial service in the world, while there will also be routes to Los Angeles and San Francisco.

At the end of June 2018, Airbus had recorded a total of 882 firm A350 XWB orders from 46 customers worldwide.
