Airbus: SES-12 satellite roars into space

This multi-mission satellite is Airbus' third fully-electric satellite that is in orbit.
SES-12 is the 13th satellite made by the group on behalf of SES. It has been launched from Cape Canaveral in Florida today.
Airbus welcomes SES' ambition for innovation and responsiveness to changing markets, and we highlight their support for our all-electric propulsion technology, said Nicolas Chamussy, CEO of Airbus Space Systems.
The satellite will provide additional capacity and transmission capacity to the data and video markets, as well as to mobility and governments in the Middle East and Asia-Pacific regions.
