Airbus: contract for NATO's communications
(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus yesterday announced that it has won a contract worth 40 million euros from the NATO communications and information agency.
This is for the delivery of the first phase of the new communications infrastructure, including an enhanced IP-protected communications system, serving 72 sites of the North Atlantic Military Organisation, including its headquarters and NATO's representation at the United Nations.
The system's design is expected to be completed by the end of 2018, and the deployment of the first phase will be completed by the end of 2019.
The contract comes with an option on the following phases, representing a maximum of 50 million euros.
