Airbus: civil helicopters for Ukraine
(CercleFinance.com) - The French Ministry of Economy and Finance yesterday announced the conclusion of an agreement with the Ukrainian Ministry of the Interior for the purchase of Airbus helicopters for civil security missions.
Under the contract, Ukraine will acquire 55 Airbus helicopters (the model has not been specified), for a maximum of 555 million euros. Bercy said that until now, some of the helicopters were owned by the State and the others are new devices.
France will support the deal by providing public guarantees and a Treasury loan.
The Ukrainian parliament will have to ratify this agreement in the next few weeks, before it comes into force.
