Airbus: huge order for 430 A320NEO by Indigo Partners.
(CercleFinance.com) - Finally, Airbus Group has booked a large order: the US private equity fund, Indigo Partners, which is specialized in air transport, has made an order for no less than 430 A320neo medium-haul planes.
The theoretical "list price" (before any commercial discounts) of the planes reaches 49.5 billion dollars, slightly over 42 billion euros.
In detail, the order concerns 273 A320neo aircraft and 157 A321neo, which Indigo Partners will assign to a number of ultra-low cost airlines: Frontier Airlines in the United States, JetSMART in Chile, Volaris in Mexico and Wizz Air, in Europe, via Hungary.
The engines of these planes will be decided on at a later date.
For the record, from January to October, Airbus booked 288 net orders for commercial aircraft. This contract therefore completely changes the situation.
