Unilever: preference shares to be delisted on 5 April
(CercleFinance.com) - Unilever said on Wednesday that it has applied for delisting of its preference shares from Euronext Amsterdam, which will take place on 5 April.
The move follows a decision by the Enterprise Chamber of the Amsterdam Court of Appeal, which ordered the remaining holders to transfer their 6% and 7% preference shares to Unilever.
The buy-out of the preference shares is a step towards a simplification of the group's complex structure, Unilever said last Autumn.
Preference shares may last be traded on Euronext on 4 April.
