Heineken: buys minority stake in Belize distributor
(CercleFinance.com) - Heineken said on Friday it bought a minority stake in Belize Brewing Company (BBB), which has been an importer of its brands in the Central America country since 2016.
In a statement, the Dutch brewer cites Belize's fast-developing tourism industry and stable GDP growth, saying the market offers a lot of potential.
A subsidiary of Bowen & Bowen (B&B), BBB is distributing the Heineken, Amstel and Red Stripe brands in Belize.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
