KPN: Joost Farwerck appointed CEO
(CercleFinance.com) - After Dominique Leroy abandoned the race to become KPN's CEO, the Dutch telecom operator announces the appointment of Joost Farwerck, who, since 2014, has been deputy CEO.
He will take office on 1 December.
On the same date, Joost Farwerck will chair an expanded six-member executive committee.
Shareholders will be asked to vote on these appointments at a general meeting that will be convened in due course.
Meanwhile, Jan Kees de Jager, who has been KPN's CFO for five years, will leave his position to pursue other opportunities. He will be replaced, after a transition period, by Chris Figee from 1 February 2020.
