Toyota: sells over 1.52 million electrified vehicles
(CercleFinance.com) - Toyota Motor Corporation has announced that it reached a new threshold in terms of sales of electrified vehicles in 2017, with over 1.
52 million vehicles sold worldwide.
This figure represents an 8% increase over the previous record of 2016. The group is therefore three years ahead of its 2020 target.
This record figure should enable the company to achieve its target of 5.5 million electrified vehicles per year by 2030 - a target featuring in its Environmental Challenge for 2050.
Cumulative sales of these vehicles now exceed 11.47 million, which save over 90 million tonnes of CO2 compared to the same number of equivalent conventional vehicles.
